Over 5,000 Words, 2.6 Cents Per Word (3.5 Cents Per Word to expidite your project).

Included in this pricing is the editing, mixing and mastering of the audio, also included is lead-in music and lead-out music as well as music transistions between chapters.

Please call for pricing when two or more voices are to be used in the book recording.

Voice talent is very available. Professional voice personalities are recommended. Above prices do not include Voice talent. Please call if you wish to use character or different voices in your audio book.

Also, royalty free background music and sound effects are available. The above pricing does not include this type of music or sound. It's very reasonable should you wish it.

When your Audio Book is complete, you'll receive, 2 sets of (Audio) Master discs and one set of "Play Copy" discs. You'll also receive, when requested, the complete Audio Book in MP3 format, allowing you to market your Audio Book through the Internet.

Most projects will require 1/3 -1/2 money down or time payments depending on the project. These details are worked out prior to a project starting. The intention...fairness to all!

How many words are in my book? Your word processor will tell you. For example MS Word...in the Tools tab there is an item called Word Count. Just open your book file and click on Tools and then on Word Count.

If your book is not in your word processor, just pick a page that is full with words. Count the number of words from left to right. Then count the number of lines from top to bottom. Multiply the two numbers. For example, 10 words across X 32 lines = 320 words per page X a 280 page book = 89,600 total words. You would round this number to 90,000 words and use the rate of 2.6 cents per word to arrive at the accurate base cost.

How Long Does It Take To Produce An Audio Book?

I'll use a 50,000 word book as an example, after the meetings with the author and or publisher are complete.

Recording. The voice of a single professional voice talent will typically take 10 - 14 hours.

Editing, initial. Typically 30 - 40 hours.

Editing, final. Approx. 10 hours

Mixing/Mixdown. Without music or sound 5 - 6 hours. With music or sound at intro, between chapters and at end, approx. 10 hours.

Mastering. Approx. 5 hours.

60 - 75 hours total is typically required to produce a 50,000 word audio book.
